Bill Campbell’s Flambeaux butter dish is just as beautiful as it is functional. This crystalline glaze is never exactly the same, but it is always striking. This piece comes in a cream background with shades of blue and green accents or a gold with brown and indigo accents. Like all pottery made by Bill Campbell Studios, it is both microwavable and dish washer safe.
Bill Campbell’s handmade pottery has been admired for over 30 years. His bread and oil plates, dish sets and other dinnerware sets are highly regarded for their breathtaking color and swirl and glaze patterns. Bill Campbell specializes in dinner plates, casual dinnerware sets and other home goods.
Bill Campbell began making pottery in the early 1970s. In 1974, Bill Campbell received a Bachelors in Fine Arts with an Art Major from Pennsylvania’s Edinboro University at the age of 36. He hoped to build his own pottery studio and become a professional potter whose creations possessed unmatched beauty, quality and functionality. Bill Campbell, despite the limitations of the glaze he uses, perfected its use, capturing its full potential. That passion and knowledge is present in the serving platters, bread trays and butter trays he creates. Each piece of pottery that leaves his studio maintains the same amount of energy as its creator.
